Named for its pale appearance, Anji white tea (安吉白茶) is actually a high mountain green tea grown in Zhejiang province. Fresh and floral in the mouth, it has a sweet and fragrant aftertaste. About 6-10% of the tea consists of amino acids, giving this tea umami flavour highlights as well as numerous health benefits.
Cultivar: a rare mutant white leaf tea, called White Leaf No. 1, a small leaf cultivar. When the tea plant starts to flush in spring in a colder weather condition, the leaf tends to look like white jade colour because it lacks chlorophyll. The leaf will become the normal green color when the weather gets warmer. The window to harvest Anji Bai Cha is very short, usually in between mid March to mid April. The pick is 1 bud and 1 leaf, or 1 bud and 2 leaves.
2g (1 teaspoon) per 250ml glass, 85–90°c water.
Warm the glass with hot water and discard. Add the dry tea leaves and slowly pour in the hot water. Gently rock the glass to agitate the leaves for 1-2 minutes during infusion, up to 3 infusions.

Store in an airtight container in a clean and dry place, avoid heat and sunlight. We recommend enjoying this tea within three months of opening.

This is standard across the industry — for hygiene and quality reasons, tea and other consumable products are not eligible for return or exchange once they have been opened or used. We will always accept returns for unopened items still in the original undamaged packaging within 30 days of purchase. Tea Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.
TEAWARE & ACCESSORIES Non-consumable items (teapots, cups, infusers, etc.) may be returned or exchanged if: Returned within 30 days of delivery Item is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition Original packaging is included If a teaware item does not meet your expectations, we will gladly accept a return for store credit or offer a replacement if returned within 30 days of delivery.
