This tea is also known as Jin Xuan Oolong, and originates from Taiwan. This variety presents a natural creamy and flowery fragrance, with a mild degree of semi-fermentation. The dried tea presents a ball-rolled shape with darker green jade colour. When it is brewed, the tea ball opens up to reveal the full leaves, with a characteristic buttery taste, refreshing, sweet aroma and light green-yellow hue.
Note from Ms.Cattea: Caramelised oolong contains pure oolong tea and natural milky essence. each tea ball usually consist of a tea bud and a few consecutive tea leaves. To make a cup of caramelised oolong usually does not required too much tea balls, 4-6 pieces is usually enough for a cup because the tea ball will open up into full leaves and fill up the cup. Enjoy.
